The Klean Group

Klean Carbon is a product brand of Klean Industries Inc., the engineering company at the centre of the Klean Group.

Recovered carbon black does not arrive on its own. It is one output of a resource-recovery chain that starts with end-of-life tires and runs through pyrolysis, gas and oil handling, carbon upgrading, and finished-product logistics. The Klean Group is structured around that chain, and Klean Carbon is the materials brand that sits at the end of it.

Klean Industries

Klean Industries Inc. designs, engineers and delivers resource-recovery and waste-conversion plants, including the tire pyrolysis and recovered carbon black facilities that produce Klean Carbon. The company offers feasibility studies, design and engineering, due diligence, and turn-key EPC (DBC) delivery, and it produces Klean Carbon exclusively.

Klean Carbon

Klean Carbon is the ASTM recovered carbon black (rCB) filler brand. Its CBk-EX, CBk-RX and CBk-SX grades are new carbon black reinforcing fillers that fully or partially replace the N300, N600 and N700 series of conventional carbon blacks, and are sold into rubber, plastic, ink and coating supply chains. The brand also delivers marketing, sales and strategy consulting for carbon users in those industries.

Why the group structure matters commercially

A customer evaluating recovered carbon black is really asking two questions: will the material perform, and will it still be there in three years. Group integration answers the second. Because the same organisation specifies the reactor, the upgrading train and the filler, there is no gap between the process that produces the carbon and the specification sold against it — and no dependency on a third-party technology licensor to maintain quality.

It also gives customers optionality. A compounder may begin as a buyer of Klean Carbon and later conclude that producing rCB from a local tire stream is the stronger position. That path — feasibility, due diligence, design, turn-key delivery — runs through the same group, with the material specification already defined.

Shared engineering discipline

What links the group is process engineering rather than a product catalogue. Thermal conversion, gas cleaning, heat integration and materials handling recur across tire pyrolysis, plastic pyrolysis and waste-to-energy work, and the lessons from one sector carry into the next. Recovered carbon black benefits directly from that cross-pollination, because filler quality is decided upstream in the reactor and the gas train long before it is decided in the mill.
